In May 2013, the City of Cambridge established a Transit Advisory Committee to advance an agenda for a robust public transportation system for those who live and/or work in Cambridge. The Committee will guide Cambridge city positions and policies regarding long term sustainable funding for transit by the Commonwealth, transit expansion, service planning for modification or expansion of bus routes, and service reliability and improvements including ways to better design our street network to prioritize bus transit.

Removal of Public Shade Trees
City of Cambridge, Department of Public Works
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, Sections 3 and 4, a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the DPW Main Conference Room at 147 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, Mass., to consider the removal of the following public tree(s):
1. 2 Bedford St (on Porter St) – Removal of 15.8” Norway maple due to structural issues.
2. 84 Aberdeen Ave – Removal of 39.6” oak due to structural issues. Location will be replanted.
The tree(s) identified above have been posted for public inspection. Any objections to their removal must be submitted in writing to the City Arborist, prior to or during the hearing.
