    • Screening of Nicolas Guzman's Si Escuchas Atentamente (If You Listen Carefully)

Main Library, Lecture Hall, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

Please join us for a screening of Si Escuchas Atentamente (If You Listen Carefully), followed by a Q&A with the director Nicolás Guzmán. Amid the complex educational crisis facing Chilean society, where privatization reigns and dropout rates soar, four friends live out their adolescence among the highways and abandoned lots at the margins of the city. Toward the end of middle school, an institution where they learn nothing, the question nags: Will they be happy in the future? Days go by and all they can do is wait for class to end in order to go out and have fun with their friends–and together, face an uncertain destiny.
