Grave Flags for Memorial Day 2010

On Saturday, May 29, at 9 a.m., the City of Cambridge’s Department of Veterans’ Services will decorate the graves of Veterans with American flags for those interred in the war lots of the Cambridge Cemetery. Assisting in the placing of flags will be members of the Cambridge Veterans’ Organization, Boys Scouts, North Cambridge Little Leaguers and local elected officials.  See more on this at:

Memorial Day Parade and Observance May 31, 2010

The Cambridge Veterans' Organization (CVO) and Cambridge Veterans' Services, will hold their annual Memorial Day Parade and Observance on Monday, May 31, 2010.  The parade will start with a cannon salute by the MA Bicentennial Battery at 9:30 a.m., and leave the Cambridge Common and proceed through Harvard Square, down Mount Auburn street, and conclude at the Cambridge Cemetery on Coolidge Avenue. Cambridge Mayor David P. Maher and Veterans Director Bob Stevens will serve as parade commentators. See more on this at:
