New Online Applications and Website Features

The City of Cambridge this week launched an updated home page with a variety of new applications and features, including an official new Facebook page, enhanced Google Search and Translation functions, an RSS Feed and Cambridge iReport, a web-based system that enables the public to easily report issues related to basic City services, such as a pothole repair, missed trash/recycling/yard waste pickup, graffiti, rodent sighting or broken street light.  Requests are automatically assigned to the responsible department and given a tracking number. Users can also download the iReport Cambridge mobile application to their IOS or Android powered smart device.

The new Google Translate function enables users to view the City’s Website in several different languages.

The updated home page also features a series of Cambridge images submitted by residents and city employees. If you have any Cambridge images or event shots you would like to submit to us for potential display on the city’s website, including a photo credit to the photographer, please send them to

The City also recently launched new services that enable users to also pay real estate and property tax bills online. For more on this, please click on the Pay Bills Online link on the city’s website.

Additionally, in September, the City announced the Cambridge Alert Network, a new and improved notification system aimed at sharing information with community members in an effective and timely manner via phone, text and email.
