City Offices Closed Monday January 2

Most Cambridge city offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday, though Cambridge City Hall will be open for the 2012-2013 City Council Inauguration, at 10 a.m., in the Sullivan Chamber.
Please see varying holiday hours and schedule below for city departments and services, including trash and recycling pickup, and parking meters:
Parking Meters will not be in effect on Monday, Jan. 2
Parking Meters are in effect as signed Monday – Saturday, except for holidays listed above and will be in effect on Saturday, Dec. 31. Parking Meters are not in effect on Sundays.
Public Works Trash, Recycling, Street Cleaning and Cemetery Schedule
Trash and Recycling Collection
There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. Collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of that week.
Street Cleaning has ended for the season.
Christmas Tree Collection
Curbside collection of bare Christmas trees (weather permitting), will take place Tuesday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan. 13, on your regular trash/recycling day. Decorations and stands must be removed and trees should not be in a plastic bag. Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Ave.
Cambridge Cemetery gates will be open from 7 a.m. until dusk throughout the holiday season. Please note that Cemetery and Public Works Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2.
Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) Hours
Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave.*
Saturday, Dec. 31, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Meals served at Citywide Senior Center only.
Monday, Jan. 2 – Senior Centers will be closed.
There are no DHSP programs Dec. 31-Jan. 2.
All Cambridge Library branches will be closed Sunday, Jan. 1 and Monday, Jan. 2.
