Teens Sought for Snow Shoveling Project

1/21/2014

The Council on Aging, in partnership with staff from the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program, is looking for teens to help shovel snow this winter.   Many seniors and persons with disabilities could use some extra assistance, and are interested in hiring local teens to help with the work.

Sign up now, and your name will be added to a list for the neighborhoods you indicate, which the Council on Aging will share with seniors after winter weather hits.   Teens can then negotiate the rate of pay directly with the homeowner.   Many homeowners also have shovels, so it is not always necessary to bring your own.
