December Holiday Schedules

Happy Holidays! Please see December schedules below for trash, recycling, street cleaning and the Cambridge Cemetery.

 

Trash and Recycling Collection

There will be no change in the curbside trash and recycling pickup during the weeks of December 19 and December 26. Curbside trash and recycling collection will take place on your regular pick up day, both weeks.  There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, January 2 in observance of the New Year's Day holiday.  Collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Street Cleaning

Regularly scheduled street cleaning will take place during the week of December 19.  There will be no street cleaning on Monday, December 26.   Street cleaning will end for the season on Wednesday, December 28.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Recycling Drop-off Center

The Recycling Drop-off Center will be open on Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24) and on New Year's Eve (Saturday, December 31).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas Tree Collection

Curbside collection of bare Christmas trees (weather permitting), will take place Tuesday, January 3 through Friday, January 13, on your regular trash/ recycling day. Decorations and stands must be removed and trees should not be in a plastic bag. Learn more by visiting the Recycling webpage, or by calling Public Works at 617.349.4800. 

 

Cambridge Cemetery

Cambridge Cemetery will have gates open from 7 AM until dusk throughout the holiday season.

 

Please note Cemetery and Public Works Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, December 23, Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2.
