"Members of the National Guard and reserve now can ask for assistance with their employment issues 24 hours a day through the Defense Department's Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve office.  The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act or USERRA, protects the employment rights of military reservists and prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of military service. On http://www.esgr.mil click on "USERRA complaint request".  The service member provides contact information for himself and for the employer, and a brief explanation of the issue.  Within 48 hours after the request is filed, a volunteer ESGR ombudsman will contact the service member."
