A Tewksbury resident called police to report that at approximately 9 a.m. on 10/7/15, a rental truck struck and damaged the driver's side mirror/housing, and then left the scene without making himself known and/or leaving any of his information.

Robert Mulcahy, 56, 2 Harrington Terrace in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Vandalize Property and Threats to Commit a Crime. Mulcahy engaged in a verbal argument with a taxi driver, kicked the rear back side of the taxi causing minor damage and threatened to kill the taxi driver and passenger.

A Watertown resident reports that on 10/5/15, he caught one of his employees stealing at his place of business. The manager reports that this theft of money from the register has been going on since April. The manager states he came up short on Monday after counting the money exactly the night before and the morning of and the suspect and he were the only two people at the store.

A motor vehicle turning westbound onto Potter from Third Street caught a hook on the rear of a backhoe. This caused damage on the left side underneath the roof. The backhoe was parked and stationary at the time of the contact.

A Cambridge resident reports that a man that he used to be friendly with at church is constantly harassing him by text messages and calls. He states he received a total of 13 texts last night and on one day, he received 87 text messages from this man.

A Somerville woman operating a 2010 Toyota Prius struck a Walden Square Road pedestrian in the crosswalk. Minor injuries were sustained by the pedestrian.

ASSAULT W/DANGEROUS WEAPON c265 S15B

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police units were dispatched to a bank at Massachusetts Avenue for a bank robbery in progress. ECC updated the responding units that the defendant – Albert Dathan, 53, homeless -- had entered the bank with a crowbar and walked up to a teller. The defendant then left the bank on foot towards Essex Street. The defendant was then seen by a security officer stationed outside the bank getting into a red motor vehicle. Police units in the area of Central Square apprehended Dathan in the vehicle in question and ordered him out of his vehicle. After a police investigation was conducted, it was determined that Albert would be placed under arrest and charged with Assault by Means with a Dangerous Weapon (crowbar). While at the police station, the booking officer conducting a search of Dathan’s property located a white substance that tested positive for cocaine and, as a result, Dathan was also charged with possession of Class B. The crow bar was located inside the defendant's vehicle and seized as evidence.

Adel Ouansa, 23, 25 Madison Street in Revere, was arrested and charged with shoplifting over $100 by Asportation after Loss Prevention Officers observed him place $150 worth of memory cards into his pants and walk out of the store.

A loss prevention officer reports that a white male with three children stole three items from the store. When he was stopped outside the store, the suspect pushed the loss prevention officer and fled on foot with the children.

Three juvenile females were stopped for shoplifting clothing items from a retail store. The clothing items were retrieved and all three were advised that they were trespassed from the store and the store would be prosecuting them for shoplifting.

Cambridge Police responded to a local hospital for a report of a person who was possibly stabbed/slashed.  The victim was not cooperative with officers.
