Lot 2, located beneath the Harvard Square Hotel, will close beginning Monday, November 2, 2026, while Harvard University completes structural repairs to the garage.
While portions of Lot 2 were closed to parkers for construction earlier this year, all of Lot 2 will now be closed for the duration of the project to allow crews to complete repairs and stage construction equipment. Construction is expected to be completed by January 30, 2027.
The Harvard Square Hotel will also be closed during construction and is expected to reopen in February 2027. Nearby residents and businesses may experience some construction-related noise while work is underway.
