Walk Ride Day

Call all commuters!

Mayor Henrietta Davis and co-host Green Streets Initiative invites all Cambridge green commuters to celebrate Active Transportation on Friday, September 28th from 7:30 – 9:30 am in front of Cambridge City Hall (795 Mass Ave). We’ll have fruit, coffee and Cambridge H2O courtesy of the Mayor; baked goods from Iggy's; butter and jam from Harvest Coop; pumpkin bars from Whole Foods, give-aways, raffle prizes for the Corporate Challenge, LOTS of great commuting information, and much more.

Mayor Davis says of this monthly event: “Just greening your commute one day a month can show you how easy it is, and how much better you may feel after starting your day by raising your heart rate with a little physical activity. Cambridge was recently named ‘Americas Most Walkable City’, and I love getting around the city by walking or biking.” We are calling all commuters to get out of the car on September 28th – even if you’ve never walked, bused or biked to work. Meet cyclists, bike commuters and pedestrian advocates, eat breakfast, and check out all the amazing work being done in Cambridge.
