According to a recently released infographic from the U.S. Census Bureau, Cambridge ranks third in the nation for commuting to work by bicycle! Great job, and let's keep pedaling forward!
For cities with populations of 100,000 or more, Cambridge comes in third, just behind Berkeley, CA and Boulder, CO. The American Community Survey shows that in 2014, 7.4% of Cambridge residents biked to work, up from 6.8% in 2010. Want to learn more about bicycle counts and other bike data in Cambridge? Whether you already ride to work or want to start bicycling but don't know how, Cambridge has dozens of free activities throughout May to celebrate Bike Month and THANK YOU for supporting sustainable transportation in our community.
