On March 19, 2013, Cambridge Police Officer Hector Vicente was one of seven people honored with the 2012 Central in Motion Award.Officer Vicente

This award was presented during the The Central Square Business Association's 81st Annual Meeting.

Officer Vicente was chosen as a recipient "...for keeping Central Square safe, secure, and welcoming for all."

Also honored with the 2012 Central in Motion Award were:

  • Iram Farooq, Cambridge Community Development Department
  • Ellen Coppinger, Cambridge Department of Public Works
  • Jason Weeks, Cambridge Arts Council
  • Cathy Carr Kelly, Central Square Theater
  • Novartis and the Community Art Center Mural
