ADVISORY: Male Arrested after Stabbing at Jackson Place

At approximately 11:10 p.m. on August 12, 2013, Cambridge Police responded to a report of a stabbing between two parties known to each other at Jackson Place in North Cambridge.

Two males were allegedly involved in an altercation where one stabbed the other.  The victim was attended to on scene by police and fire personnel before being transported to the hospital for treatment.

As a result of the investigation, Scott Avakian, 44, of 78 Jackson Circle in Cambridge was arrested and charged with Assault to Murder and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

The details contained above are allegations.  The suspect is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
