At approximately 9:00 p.m. on July 31, a CPD detective spotted a vehicle being operated by a male known to have a suspended license.  Uniformed officers stopped the vehicle and found what appeared to be drugs located inside the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle were numerous baggies as well as backpack.  In total, the suspect was found to be in possession of 21 bags of cocaine, 7 bags of marijuana, and a digital scale.

Mark Goodridge, 36, of 90 Berkshire St. in Cambridge, MA was arrested and charged with Possession to Distribute Class B Drug, Possession to Distribute Class D Drug, Drug Violation Near School/Park, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.

“This is a great example of the coordinated effort between our officers and detectives,” said Deputy Paul Ames of the Cambridge Police Department.  “Being alert to their surroundings led to a suspected drug dealer being safely apprehended without incident and drugs being removed from our streets.”

The details contained above are allegations.  The suspect is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
