Oct 22, 2013 - 9:45am: A Pleasant Place resident reports that sometime between 10/19/13 and 10/21/13, an unknown suspect broke into his parked motor vehicle by unknown means. Once inside, suspect rummaged through vehicle's interior stealing a company-issued tablet and an iPod. No damages to vehicle were reported.

On 10/22/2013 ECC dispatched CPD units to Third St. at Spring St. on a report of a cyclist struck by a motor vehicle. On scene minor injuries reported, the cyclist was transported to the hospital by Pro ambulance, a crash report was completed.

On 10/22/2013 at approximately 10:25am police responded to a Jefferson St. address to document a larceny report. Upon arrival I spoke to the reporting who stated a unknown suspect cut the lock to his mountain bicycle and stole it while it stored in his backyard between 10/18/2013 and 10/22/2013.

Oct 22, 2013 - 1:45pm: The VP of Operations for a business on Broadway reports that on 10/5 a customer paid for his purchases with a 'Personal Check'. Several days later the check was returned by bank due to "Insufficient Funds". Since then, the business has made numerous attempts to contact suspect in order to get reimbursed but to no avail.

On October 22nd, 2013 at approximately 1710 hours Cambridge Police responded to a disturbance at a Massachusetts Avenue business where Emma Bloom, 20, of 242 Edge Hill Road in Sharon, MA concealed a bottle of liquor. When confronted by a store employee BLOOM threw the bottle at the store employee who was able to move out of the way before fleeing the store.  Bloom was arrested for Shoplifting by Asportation and Assault w/ Dangerous Weapon.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop, a male was summoned into Cambridge District Court for uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, attaching plates to the motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and a stop sign violation.
