On 11/01/2013 Zhara Gholami, 40, of 195 Nahant Road in Nahant was placed under arrest for shoplifting by Asportation. The reporting person stated that Ms. Gholami was observed picking cosmetic items from a counter, taking the items from the boxes and concealing it in her purse and then she left the store without attempting to pay for the items.

On 11.01.2013 at approximately 4:40PM, police arrested JUAN CHALAS, 22, of 3940 WASHINGTON ST in Roslindale MA outside a residence on Hurley Street. CHALAS was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A (Heroin) and Drug Violation near School/Park. Recovered were ten (10) individually packaged bags of heroin. This incident took place within 100 feet of Hurley Park.

On November 1, 2013 - about 6:00PM, a concerned citizen notified CPD that a basket of meat products was left unattended by a bus stop on Mass Ave and nobody would claim it. After speaking with a manager of a nearby grocery store it was determined by the responding officer that the meat was stolen from the store at some point in the early afternoon.

On 11/01/13 Mr. Matias Lavista, 29, of 101 Western Ave. in Cambridge was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting arrest. Mr. Lavista was the passenger in a motor vehicle Police stopped for failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. During the motor vehicle stop Lavista exited the vehicle and refused to get back in the vehicle when ordered to do so causing a hazardous condition. When Police attempted to take him into custody he refused to cooperate and resisted their efforts to place him into handcuffs.

On 11/02/13 Gene Boyd, 38, of 9 Haley Street in Roxbury was placed under arrest for operating without a drivers license after he was observed, operating a M/V, on a public way, with his Virginia drivers license suspended, and no other license. Subsequently, the owner of the M/V Boyd was operating was issued a criminal citation for allowing an unlicensed operator, and having an unregistered, uninsured M/V on a public way.
