ALERT: Middlesex DA, Cambridge Police Investigating Apparent Homicide

The following information was released by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office:

CAMBRIDGE – Authorities are investigating the apparent homicide of a 73-year-old man who was found late last evening in a Cambridge apartment Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas have informed the public.

At approximately 11:50 p.m. Monday, Cambridge police responded to 243 Broadway.  Upon arrival they discovered a 73-year-old man, who appeared to have suffered severe injuries.  He was later pronounced dead.

The Cambridge Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are investigating, but authorities do not believe this was a random act.

UPDATE:

 

Harold Antoine Maxwell, 34, of Cambridge, was arrested on November 26 and is scheduled to be arraigned in Cambridge District Court on Wednesday, November 27, at 9am
