Cambridge Police responded to the Porter Square area on a report of a past larceny of a bicycle. Suspect was seen taking the bike from a locked bike rack at approximately 9:30 a.m. The Suspect was described as a black male in his 20s wearing a white t-shirt and wearing a black backpack; suspect had facial scars.

A University Road resident reports he received a call from an individual stating he was an IRS Agent and wanted a credit card number from the victim to clear up a fine he owed from a previous filing. The victim states the caller had a heavy accent and did not speak English very well causing him to doubt the caller was an IRS Agent.

Cambridge Police responded to a residence on Leighton Street for a report of a domestic dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend. After an investigation it was determined that the argument was verbal only. The couples’ children were present so a 51A was filed.

GORE ST
Jose Lemos, 33, 20 Linden Street, Somerville, was placed under arrest when he was observed by officers drinking from an open container of beer on a public bench. After the can of beer was removed from Lemos possession, he was instructed by officers that he was under arrest for drinking in public. Jose Lemos became actively resistant towards officers refusing to put his hands behind his back as instructed, clenching his fist and pulling them towards his chest and pulling his arms away as officers were attempting to handcuff him. Eventually police were able to gain control of Lemos and place him under arrest.

A Cambridge resident reported a suspect punched him in the mouth and smashed his cell phone to the ground while he was taking pictures of citizens as they were exiting the red line train station at the kiosk in Harvard Square. The resident said the suspect accused him of taking inappropriate pictures of females’ breasts.
