A resident of Boston reported falling off his bicycle on Ames Street. While on the ground, he states that his left foot was run over by an unknown vehicle. He sustained minor injuries to his head, knee and foot. EMS treated the male and later transported him to a local hospital for further observation.

GENERAL LOCATIONS IN CAMBRIDGE
Cambridge Police, along with members of the Rhode Island Fugitive Task Force and Massachusetts U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force, arrested Junior Ubri, 33, 32 Standard Street, Mattapan, MA, on Route 6 in Providence R.I. for outstanding NCIC defaults warrants (Trafficking in Heroin and Assault to Murder). Ubri was transported to the Providence Police Department for processing.

A Cambridge resident arrived at the police station to report that he was a victim of an assault that occurred on 7/23/14 at his residence located on Longfellow Road. The victim further reports that he confronted a contractor conducting work at his home and they engaged in a shouting match, wherein the contractor assaulted him. There were no injuries reported. A police report was filed.

The owner of a Blanchard Road business reports that an unknown person sent a fraudulent cashier's check for twice the amount quoted for laptop repairs on 8/2/14 expecting the overage to be returned minus the cost of shipping. When the owner contacted the Austin, TX bank, it was declared fraudulent.

A Somerville, MA employee contacted Cambridge Police after witnessing a white male, operating a gray pickup, back into and possibly damage a utility pole located on Line Street. A witness states that the suspect operator inspected his vehicle and then drove away without noticing possible damages to utility pole. A utility company was notified and will be responding to inspect the pole for any significant damages.

Cambridge Police, along with Cambridge Fire, responded to Parker Street on a suspicious package. The Parker Street resident called 911 stating that there was a small suitcase under her window that has been there for a few hours. Police arrived on scene and observed a small black case on the sidewalk. With the assistance of CPD’s explosive detection canine Rumba, it was determined that the case posed no threat to the public.
