An unknown person(s) reportedly entered the backyard of a Cambridge residence and took a 24-speed woman’s bicycle -- color white with red markings -- and a blue child bicycle sometime between 9/10/2014 at 10:30 p.m. and 9/11/2014 at 7 a.m. The bikes are valued at $1,000.

BRATTLE ST
While in the area of Brattle Street and Mason Street conducting a park and walk for crosswalk violations, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. During the course of the investigation, officers learned the driver did not have a MA driver’s license, he was cited for operating a motor vehicle unlicensed.

CHERRY ST
Mark Irwin, 50, 154 Brattle Street #2, Cambridge, was arrested on a Straight Warrant issued in January of 2013 out of Cambridge District Court for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, and without an inspection sticker on the vehicle. This arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop for operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration. Irwin is the owner of the vehicle and was not operating at the time. The operator was issued a civil motor vehicle citation for operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration.

A resident of Boston reported her iPhone 4S and credit cards were stolen from her purse on 9/10/2014 between 4 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. in Lafayette Square. Unknown suspects took the items when she left her purse unattended for a short period of time.
