Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for failing to stop at a stop sign. Officers engaged the driver of the vehicle and discovered that she did not have a valid driver's license. Subsequent to this finding, she was issued a criminal citation for operating a motor vehicle without a license and failing to stop for a stop sign.

Lefty Omar Ortega, 33, 6 Ernest Street, Jamaica Plain, was placed under arrest at the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall for Shoplifting after he was observed by loss prevention employees placing men's fragrances under his black vest and exiting the store without paying for these items. During a pat frisk of Ortega by the store's loss prevention employees, they discovered in his pocket a large meat thermometer with a sharp point which could be used as a dangerous weapon. Further investigation also revealed that there were two warrants for Ortega's arrest.
