PLEASANT ST
Cambridge Police stopped a motor vehicle for not having an illuminated rear license plate light. The operator of the vehicle, Shawn Harris, 40 Dunlap Street, Dorchester, MA, was arrested after officers discovered he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

MEMORIAL DR
Cambridge Police responded to Memorial Drive for a report of an unwanted party sleeping in the back stairway. Upon arrival, officers were brought to the stairway by security and observed a black male sleeping. The officers woke the party who was identified as Zaccaria Adan, 22, 9 Kensington Park, Boston. A check of Adan though dispatch confirmed a straight warrant out of Boston for Assault and Battery. Aden was transported to the station via the wagon and processed.

A Kirkland Street resident reports that sometime overnight an unknown suspect broke into his parked motor vehicle by an unknown means. Victim believes that suspect may have entered vehicle through an unlocked door that was inadvertently left unlocked. Once inside, the suspect rummaged through interior compartments stealing a GPS unit and an old inactive cell phone.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to Holden Street for the report of a Breaking and Entering onto a motor vehicle.  The victim stated someone got into his unlocked Ford Expedition sometime between 7:00 p.m. on 10/21/14 and 7:00 a.m. on 10/22/14. Taken from his vehicle was an inactive iPhone 4 valued at $400.00, a basic LG cell phone valued at $100.00, several gift cards to movie theaters, and a wallet with a driver’s license and bank cards.

The victim's vehicle had no broken windows and no apparent damage to its doors. Once inside, suspect rummaged through vehicle's interior compartment and stole approximately $10 in quarters.

Cambridge Police observed a blue Toyota at the intersection of Massachusetts and Brookline with an expired registration sticker. A check of the registration revealed it was suspended. Further checking also disclosed that the California vehicle was being operated for more than thirty days without being registered in Massachusetts. A Cambridge resident was summoned to court for operating with a suspended registration, failing to register his motor vehicle within thirty days and no registration in possession.

Richard Johnson, 49, homeless, was placed under arrest for 266/30A/D (shoplifting by concealing) and 266/60/B (receiving stolen property under $250) after he was stopped trying to leave with a bottle of alcohol that he did not pay for. A hooded sweatshirt was also found in his property that was later confirmed stolen from a nearby sporting goods store.
