The Cambridge Police are currently investigating several reports of gunshots that occurred early this morning in the area of 260-290 Massachusetts Avenue.

Cambridge Police responded to reports of gunshots at approximately 1:07 a.m. on 10/20/2014. There are currently no reported injuries or victims, but Cambridge Police did recover multiple spent shell casings at 266 Massachusetts Avenue and a nearby building was struck with gunshots. At this time, several reports indicated that at least four suspect vehicles were involved in the incident: a silver Audi A3 hatchback, a black Nissan Maxima, a black Ford Edge and a white Toyota Camry. A fifth vehicle (dark colored SUV) may also be involved.  Indications at this point in the investigation are that this incident was not random in nature.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and any information from the community is critical to solving these types of crimes.  Anyone with information is asked to call Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300.
