The office manager for a Concord Avenue business reports an unknown person broke into and gained entrance to the office and set the alarm off at 5:03 a.m. on 11/5. There is nothing reported missing at this time.

BRATTLE ST
An employee of a Brattle Street business reported that an unidentified Hispanic female stole seven long-sleeve male shirts from a display counter. The theft occurred on 11/4 between 4:35-4:56 p.m. and was captured on video surveillance.

Daniel Sama, 53, 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, was placed under arrest for a confirmed warrant. Sama was transported to 125 Sixth Street and processed without incident. The warrant was issued out of Middlesex Superior Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

A resident of Hyde Park reported that his co-worker hit him in the head with the handle of a knife. This incident took place on 11/3/2014 while both he and the suspect were at work at a Cambridge business.

An employee for a business states an unknown black male entered the store and stole $11.50 worth of food from the store. The suspect put the food in the front pouch of his blue hooded sweatshirt and fled the store without paying for the items.

A contractor called to report that stair treads, which were stored in a building on Bishop Allen Drive, were stolen sometime between their delivery on 11/4/2014 at 11 a.m. and 11/5/2014 at 7:30 a.m. The value of the treads was $1,350.00.

CAMBRIDGESIDE PL
Cambridge Police responded to a Cambridgeside Place retailer on a report of a shoplifter being detained. Ivan Amaker, 51, 794 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, was observed by Loss Prevention on camera cutting security tags off merchandise and putting them inside a duffle bag. He was stopped by Loss Prevention outside the store after passing all points of purchase. Once detained and in the office Loss Prevention found in Amaker’s possession two speakers and seven SD cards. Loss Prevention stated that Amaker was in the store on the evening of 11/4/14 in the same aisle. He was seen leaving the store without making a purchase. Loss Prevention informed officers that these SD cards are the same brand as those being sold by the store and have matching UPC numbers. Amaker had no receipt for the SD cards and was placed under arrest.

An Arlington resident reports sometime between the above date and times, a 2011 Acura was broken into while parked in a parking garage on Broadway. A backpack was stolen from the motor vehicle.

A Cambridge resident was summonsed for operating after suspension, unregistered motor vehicle, and uninsured motor vehicle after police pulled her over for a broken tail light. During the stop, they learned that the motor vehicle was unregistered, uninsured, and the operator had a suspended license.

BROADWAY
A Rehoboth resident reports that on 11/5/14 between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. his motor vehicle was broken into while parked in a Broadway Street garage. A computer and recreational sports equipment was stolen from the trunk.
