Cambridge Police were dispatched to a clothing store on Alewife Brook Parkway. The store’s lost prevention officers had detained a shoplifter, after they observed her and another unknown individual, who had already fled the store, removing security tags and concealing merchandise totaling $750 in their personal bags. Angie Soler, 18, 22-34 71st Street, Queens, New York, was placed under arrest for Larceny Over $250.

The homeowner stated that he was alerted by a loud bang and went outside to see that the fence had been ripped out of the ground and it was up against the side of the house, and the offender had left the scene of damage.

The reporting person stated that she attempted to adopt a dog through an animal rescue agency, but had been made aware by a local animal hospital that this agency was a scam after she had already agreed to the adoption of the dog and her account had been charged.

A Cambridge resident came to the Cambridge Police Station to report a larceny from a bank ATM machine on Massachusetts Avenue. The victim stated that he deposited a check into his account and soon after he completed the deposit and left the ATM, an unknown person entered his password and was able to withdraw money from his account.

Cambridge Police responded to Oxford Street and Sacramento Street for the report of a motor vehicle accident. Following an investigation, the bicyclist was cited for Failure To Stop at a Red Light, as this was the cause of the accident with the motor vehicle.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to a store on Alewife Brook Parkway for a report of a shoplifter, in the custody of loss prevention officers, who had attempted to steal $405.91 worth of merchandise. Upon further investigation, the suspect was identified as a Boston resident and he was cooperative and very apologetic of the whole situation. He was trespassed from the store by the reporting loss prevention officer, who also recovered all of the store’s merchandise. The Boston resident will be summonsed to court on a later date for Larceny Over $250.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the manager, who reported that the defendant was intoxicated and was causing a scene, so he was told to leave the premises several times and he refused.
