A Cambridge resident reported that an unknown person stole a pair of keys to his home and gained entry to their residence in the middle of the night. The reporting person stated she watching TV in her living room when she heard the front door being unlocked and an unknown male peeked his head and then fled the scene.

Guihermo Gutieres, 34, Columbia Road, Boston, was placed under arrest for Larceny Over $250, after loss prevention officers at a Cambridgeside department store observed him stealing merchandise by concealing the items in his bag.

Cambridge Police responded to an Ellsworth Avenue residence for the report of a breaking and entering. The victim reported that there was heavy damage to the door frame and her room had been rummaged through and her laptop computer was stolen.

Henry Street resident reported that while riding his bike on Trowbridge Street, he was struck by an opening passenger door of a motor vehicle, causing damage to the bike and the bicyclist when he fell to the ground. The vehicle operator got out to speak with the bicyclist and apologized for her passenger, but did not leave her name and or information with him. The vehicle operator will be summonsed to court for Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury and Opening a Door When Unsafe.

Jessica Coates, 33, 70 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge, was placed under arrest on a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Violation of a Harassment Prevention Order, after police officers responded to the scene for a report of a shoplifting in progress.

Cambridge Police responded to an Ellsworth Avenue residence for a report of a past breaking and entering. The reporting person stated that he arrived home to find his apartment in disarray and the front door had sustained damage.

Cambridge Police observed a motor vehicle parked on Green Street with its alarm going off. The vehicle’s plate information was queried in the attempt to locate its owner, and it was discovered that the vehicle was uninsured and unregistered. The owner of the vehicle was subsequently summonsed to court.
