BROADWAY

The Cambridge Police Explosive Ordinance unit responded to Broadway for a cooler on the sidewalk unattended. Upon arrival, officers met with the building’s security who stated that there were no threats made and there was no other suspicious activity surrounding the cooler. The EOD unit and K9 unit swept the area and cleared the cooler, which contained water bottles, snacks and tools. Security took possession of the cooler and were going to inquire with the construction company on who it belongs to and return it to them.

Paulo Ferreira, 43, 22 Newcastle Road, Brighton, was placed under arrest for Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct, after he was initially escorted out from an establishment, and was told not to return. Ferreira returned, and was asked twice by Cambridge Police to leave the establishment. The defendant refused and began to being agitated and hostile towards officers, creating a hazardous situation in the crowded establishment.

On 11/29/2015 at 5:05 AM a security guard at 4-6 Canal Park noticed a white male standing outside of the locked front door. The man was repeatedly kicking at the glass front door in an attempt to get someone to let him into the building. When the security guard confronted him at the door, the white male exclaimed, "I didn't do that to the door, it was already like that." The security guard noticed that two separate glass sections of the front door were shattered. The white male stated to the security guard that he was trying to get in to the building to see his friend. The white male opened up his wallet to show his identification, then immediately ran away towards the Galleria Mall. The security guard took two pictures of the white male before he left.
