A resident of Somerville states she received a threatening telephone call on her cell phone while she was attending a school in Cambridge. The victim states the unidentified male caller told her that he had her mother detained and was demanding to receive $500 in-order to release the victim’s mother.

HAMPSHIRE ST

A Somerville resident was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle without a license and failing to inspect her motor vehicle. Officers observed her driving a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker on Hampshire Street in Cambridge. Officers pulled the vehicle over on Tremont Street and, after an investigation, it was determined the driver was operating without a license.

A Somerville resident reported his bicycle stolen from his home to the Somerville Police. A stolen bicycle report was completed by Somerville. On 11/30/15, the resident states he noticed his bike locked to a pole at Hampshire Street and he notified police. An officer responded and he had the Somerville PD report with him and the bike was identified by him as his. He had pictures in his cell phone of him with the bike that was locked to the pole. DPW was notified, they arrived, cut the lock, and the resident retrieved his bike.

George Halfkenny, 45, homeless, was arrested at Pleasant Street and charged with Attempted Breaking and Entering in the Daytime for a Felony. The reporting party stated that she observed Halfkenny at her bedroom window on the side of the house, attempting to open the screen and window.

Cambridge Police along with Cambridge Fire and EMT's responded to the intersection of Broadway and Columbia Street for a two-car motor vehicle accident. One operator was transported to the hospital via ambulance for a medical evaluation after complaining of body aches.

A resident of Cambridge Street states an unknown suspect vandalized his motor scooter while it was parked in the rear parking lot of his residence. The scooter's odometer, headlights, taillights, and mirrors were all damaged. The unknown suspect also cut the wires that start and power the scooter.

Cambridge Police, along with members of the FBI’s JTTF, arrested John Vieira, 42, 55 Jerome Street in Medford. Vieira was arrested for a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court.

WARRANT ARREST REPORT

BERKSHIRE ST

Cambridge Police observed Christopher Gonyer, 40, 205 Temple Avenue in Orchard Beach, Maine, driving a red Nissan Quest van in the area of Berkshire Street. Gonyer is unlicensed and is wanted out of Sanford, Maine for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer. Gonyer was observed parking the vehicle on Vandine Street. Gonyer was handcuffed and placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and for being a Fugitive From Justice. While patting down Gonyer for weapons, he told officers that he had a bag of heroin inside of his front left small pant pocket. Officers removed a small plastic knotted bag containing a tan powdery substance believed to be heroin. Goyner was additionally charged with Possession of a Class A Drug (Heroin).

A Cambridge resident reports while his motor vehicle was parked on Huron Avenue between 11/28/15 at noon and 11/30/15 at 7 a.m. and some unknown suspect(s) smashed a rear door passenger’s window to gain entrance to his motor vehicle. Once inside, they took a briefcase containing personal papers and an Apple laptop.

Cambridge Police placed Mierion Tecleberhan, 19, 812 Memorial Drive in Cambridge, under arrest for Operation of a Motor Vehicle after Suspension, Possession of Class D with intent to distribute and Possession of Class B. Upon running the license plate through CJIS, it came back that Tecleberhan was the owner and operator of the motor vehicle and had a suspended license. After being placed under arrest for operation of a motor vehicle after suspension, Tecleberhan was later to be found in possession of 32.6 Grams of Marijuana and a prescription bottle containing codeine.

It was reported to the Cambridge Police that at Mt. Auburn and Coolidge there was a box in a garbage bag that appeared suspicious. It was later determined that it was a discarded monitor.
