Cambridge Police were dispatched to Lancaster Street for the report of a disturbance in regards to a person hitting and kicking a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that the individual causing the disturbance was the owner of the motor vehicle and was upset because their vehicle had just been broken into via a smashed rear window.

Cambridge Police responded to a Magazine Street residence for the report of a larceny. The victim reported she discovered that several valuable pieces of jewelry were missing from her home, potentially since 12/3.

ABERDEEN AVE

A Revere resident came to the Cambridge Police Station to report a hit and run incident involving his motor vehicle. The reporting person stated that he was operating his work bus eastbound on Mount Auburn Street, when he was struck from behind. Upon stopping and exiting his bus in order to exchange information, he observed the suspect vehicle flee the scene without making themselves known.

Cambridge Police Explosive Ordinance units responded to the front of a building on Massachusetts Avenue for a report of an unattended suitcase that appeared suspicious. Upon inspecting and clearing the suitcase, it was determined that the suitcase belonged to a homeless person and it was returned to her.

A Cambridge business owner reported that while he was at a local towing company to arrange to have a damaged cab towed to his business, an unknown person(s) stole his cellphone from his motor vehicle. He reported that it may have been stolen from personnel at the towing company, on account of a dispute he had regarding the price of the tow.

A Massachusetts Avenue resident reported fraudulent activity on his credit card. The reporting person stated that he didn’t lose his card and is not sure how his information was retrieved.
