WARRANT ARREST REPORT

BROADWAY
Peter Asmar, 21, 1870 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, was arrested at Broadway after a resident found him sleeping on the front porch and called the police. Asmar initially lied to the police about his name and date-of-birth, however his identification was found on him. Upon investigating his identity, Asmar was arrested on a warrant issued out of Cambridge District Court. Charges listed on the warrant are as follows: Annoying and accosting another person, Assault, Assault and Battery on a police officer, Receiving Stolen Property and Trespass. These charges were initiated by the Harvard University Police Department after an incident took place there on 10/11/2017.

VASSAR ST
Cambridge Police along with Cambridge Fire responded to Vassar Street for a minor two car motor vehicle crash. On location, upon requesting the involved operator’s Driver's Licenses, it was discovered that one of the operators involved in the crash has had his MA Driver’s License Suspended since 2012. Subsequently, a Dorchester resident was issued a Criminal Complaint and summonsed to court for Operating after Suspension.

BISHOP ALLEN DR
A resident of Belmont was cited and summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration. Officers observed the vehicle on Inman Street with what appeared to be an expired registration sticker. A check on the registration revealed the status expired and the owner of the vehicle had a revoked license. After being stopped, it was confirmed the operator was the registered owner.

CAMBRIDGESIDE PL
John Elwell, 31, 27 Vernon Street in Malden, was placed under arrest by Cambridge Police Officers for Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise over $100 after Elwell was observed by Loss Prevention Officers grabbing unpaid items, placing them in a bag, and then leaving the store without attempting to pay at the store registers. While on scene, it was discovered by ECC and relayed to Cambridge Police Officers that Elwell had a warrant from Malden District Court for Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and Possessing a Burglarious Instrument.
