Officers observed a black Nissan crash into flower pots on the sidewalk on Brattle Street at JFK Street, then flee the scene. The motor vehicle was later stopped on Mount Auburn Street and the driver will be issued a summons for Leaving the Scene of Property Damage.

PALMER ST

Cambridge Police received a call that a person dropped a bottle with flashing lights near the loading dock of a business on Palmer Street. The unknown person then fled. The Cambridge Police Explosive Ordinance Unit and K9 officer responded and determined the item not to be dangerous. The item was determined to be a Halloween prop.

Michael Taylor, 48, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge was arrested on a warrant out of Somerville District Court for Shoplifting by Asportation and a warrant out of Brookline District Court for Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Larceny over $250.
