Cambridge Police responded to Cross Street and Albany Street for a reported motor vehicle fire. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the motor vehicle was not on fire. As a result of an investigation, Nicolas Pedreira, 30, of 31 State Street, Leominster, was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

A Cambridge resident reported being hit by a black Toyota while riding his bicycle on Garden Street. The bicyclist spoke briefly with the operator of the motor vehicle, then the motor vehicle drove away without exchanging information. The bicyclist complained of a twisted ankle but refused medical attention at the scene. There was no damage to the bicycle.

The victim was instructed to purchase over $1000 dollars of gift cards as form of payment. When the suspect continued to ask for more money, the victim realized that it was a scam.
