Participatory Budgeting in Cambridge is an new democratic initiative that gives Cambridge community members the power to decide how to spend $500,000 of the City’s FY 2016 Capital Budget.

If you have an idea for a project to improve Cambridge, please share it on the interactive map.

Make sure to check out the guidelines to see what kinds of projects are eligible for funding. The City will be collecting ideas until December 19, 2014.

In January and February 2015, volunteer Budget Delegates will work to develop submitted ideas into full project proposals, with guidance from City staff about project feasibility and costs. Budget Delegates will then submit a list of projects to the City Manager for final review. In March 2015, Cambridge residents who are 12-years-old or older will be able to vote for the projects they would like the City to fund.
