City of Cambridge Holiday Gift and Toy Drives

Cambridge Public Schools and the Office of Mayor Siddiqui are hosting a Toy Drive through December 20
If you would like to support this effort, please drop unopened toys, in the bins outside of the Mayor’s Office at Cambridge City Hall (795 Massachusetts Ave – Second Floor) or at the Cambridge Public Schools Lobby (135 Berkshire Street). If you would like to buy new toys, check out our business directory to shop local or donate through the Amazon Wish List at bit.ly/CPSToyDrive. Mayor's Office Third Annual Winter Gift Card Drive Ends TODAY December 14
Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui is hosting the Mayor’s Third Annual Winter Gift Card Drive, an initiative facilitated by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, providing support to Cambridge residents facing economic challenges during the holiday season. Harvard University and MIT are the leading sponsors of this initiative and are joined by a number of dedicated local establishments. Individuals interested in participating have until December 14, 2023 to contribute here.

Cambridge Firefighters Join Marines in Annual “Toys-For-Tots” Drive Ends December 19
Cambridge Firefighters will once again partner with the US Marine Corps Reserve to collect toys for the annual “Toys-for-Tots” drive. The program was started in Los Angeles when a handful of Marine Reservists distributed 5,000 toys to needy children on Christmas Eve 1947.Since its inception, 281,000,000 needy children throughout the United States have benefited from the donation of over 627,000,000 toys. New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at any Cambridge Fire Station, at Cambridge City Hall (in front of City Manager's Office) and at various locations with our Harvard Square & Central Square collection partners.  The deadline is the morning of Tuesday, December 19, 2023, (Note: Engine 6 on River Street is closed for reconstruction). CPD's Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive Ends December 15
The Cambridge Police Department wants to encourage residents and businesses to once again consider supporting the “Secret Santa for Seniors” gift drive. Now in its 17th year, the gift drive brings gifts and joy to seniors who may not have any remaining family members or loved ones nearby during the holiday season. This program relies solely on generous donations from Cambridge businesses, residents, community members, and CPD employees. Gift bags are organized and distributed to seniors throughout the city on the days leading up to Christmas to remind them that they are not forgotten. Learn more.
