Join us at the Central Square Branch Library, or virtually, for a midday-lunch break book group discussion. This book group will be rotating Mystery/Thriller and Science Fiction works. Feel free to bring your lunch, but, most importantly, bring yourself! September Selection: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. The City Manager Performance Review process enables greater accountability, transparency, and feedback. This is the second year we have conducted a City Manager Performance Review. This review is the result of a structured process that began with approving the performance review process and City Manager Goals at the April 12 Government Operations Committee meeting. We held a mid-year check-in at the August 5 Government Operations Committee. This next step, submitting an annual review of goals and performance by November 15 will be followed by the City Council’s formal evaluation delivered at a Special City Council Meeting on December 11.

Install Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at 3 locations with 10 charging heads. EV adoption is growing steadily as measured by EV charging station data collected by the city. This proposal responds to a strong demand from residents who have indicated a need for more publicly available EV chargers.

The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2025, due to scheduled community events including the VIVA CENTRAL Block Party, the CEOC 60th Anniversary Celebration, and the 40th Annual Harvard Square MayFair.

Come and learn about your rights as a tenant along with Cambridge resources that support renters! In this workshop, you will hear from attorneys from Cambridge and Somerville Legal Services and the City of Cambridge's Office of the Housing Liaison. This a hybrid event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. We will be providing interpretation in Spanish and Haitian Creole on location during the event. The City of Cambridge can provide you with an interpreter for free.
