Spring 2016 Pedestrian Committee Walk from Harvard Square to West Cambridge

After moving to the U.S., Kamrun began taking English classes at the Community Learning Center and is now co-teaching an ESOL class.

While trucks and tour buses are allowed to operate within the City of Cambridge, they are still restricted from certain streets, as defined below, unless delivering to addresses on those specific streets. All restrictions are for 24 hours a day, seven days a week unless otherwise noted

Join us for a game of chess at the O'Neill Branch Library! Players of all skill levels and all ages are welcome to participate. Chess sets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. This is a space for individuals to play and test their skills against other members of the community. This is not an instructional class. Get back to school with these DIY journals! Learn how to make a journal from scratch and decorate it with cut outs, pictures, and 3D pieces to make it pop. Junk journals are an interactive and creative project that helps you keep track of all your favorite events and memories. You'll see examples of different techniques and get to make your own! As part of the Family and Social Justice Section, the Cambridge Police Department has two officers assigned to the City’s Homeless Outreach Project.

The Baker-Polito Administration announced “Red Sox Week” at the Hynes Convention Center to increase access to vaccines for disproportionately impacted communities. The Administration also provided an update on vaccine dose allocations for the week and announced additional regional collaboratives that will now be available for booking appointments on the Commonwealth’s pre-registration system.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Regenerative Possibilities Book: Not Too Late: Changing the Climate Story from Despair to Possibility - edited by Rebecca Solnit & Thelma Young Lutunatabua Meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours.
