A Moving Van Permit allows you to reserve curb space for the purpose of parking a vehicle on a City street while moving goods in or out of a building. Moving Van Permits can be issued for a maximum of three consecutive days.

We will read and discuss the book in sections as follows: Session 1 - Intro, Barbara Smith Session 2 - Beverly Smith, Demita Frazier Session 3 - Alicia Garza, Angela Davis, comments Session 4 – Reflections on Cambridge present and future Participants are encouraged to come to as many sessions as they can — and all are welcome! The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for residents with low incomes or those who lost income during the pandemic. As of May 12, 2021, eligible households will be able to enroll in the program to receive a monthly discount of $50 off the cost of broadband service from an approved provider.

This month, City Manager Louis A. DePasquale and his staff provided a high-level overview of the City's COVID-19 response. While the presentation is not a comprehensive list of the extensive efforts undertaken to support our community over the past year, it provides significant insights into the work that City staff have been engaged in to meet community needs and keep core City services functioning.

The City of Cambridge’s Domestic and Gender-Based Violence Prevention Initiative and the Transition House will be hosting their annual Domestic Violence Vigil on Tuesday, October 20 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month and honor those lost to domestic violence in Massachusetts over the past year. The vigil will be held on the front steps of Cambridge City Hall.

The Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB) promotes public safety by educating and informing the public to prevent further victimization. SORB registers and classifies convicted sex offenders according to their risk of re-offense and the degree of danger they pose. If a sex offender resides, works, or attends school in Massachusetts they must register. Public release information about a sex offender is dependent on their classification level.

Dr. Maisha Laini Grant is a Harvard-educated scholar, author, educational leader, and cancer survivor whose work centers on leadership, resilience, equity, and the power of story. Her memoir, Detoured: From Cancer to Chaos to Cure, chronicles her journey through cancer, chaos, faith, and healing, and offers hope to others navigating unexpected detours in life.
