Our Magic Tree House book group for kids ages 5-10 meets the first Friday of the month. Pick up a copy of the book beforehand. Our December book is Magic Tree House #4, "Pirates Past Noon." This event is onsite at O'Connell, with the option to attend virtually. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. Need a laptop or hotspot to participate? In observance of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 4, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind schedule for the rest of that week.

In observance of the Indigenous Peoples' Day holiday on Monday, October 12, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations. The offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will be closed on the holiday, though the gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

This project will bring much-needed improvements to Danehy Park, with great positive impact for Cambridge residents. New fitness equipment, signs, dog park lights for evening use, and scoreboards will make Danehy Park better utilized.
