We do not solely use our devices to communicate in written form. Rather, most professional interactions with employers or other professionals are conducted via video call. Video calls can also be a useful tool to communicate with friends and family who are far away. In this class, Digital Navigators will share ways to promote your ability to communicate with professionals, extend communication means with family and friends, and take advantage of online opportunities and resources with concrete examples. This class will be delivered by a DOORS program instructor. Our monthly "Graphics Are Great!" book group is for kids aged 8-12. Check out a copy of the book at O'Connell beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our March book is Alterations by Ray Xu. In observance of the Patriots’ Day holiday on Monday, April 20, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and pay stations. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, food waste, and yard waste will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind for the remainder of the week. There will be no street cleaning on the Patriots’ Day holiday. Streets that would normally be cleaned on April 20 (third Monday of the month) will instead be cleaned on Wednesday, April 29.

In observance of the Veterans’ Day holiday on Friday, November 11, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations. Additionally, the offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will be closed on the holiday, though the gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind schedule. Regularly scheduled street cleaning routes for Friday, November 11 will be cleaned on Monday, October 31.

Achieving this AAA rating from the major credit rating agencies lowers the City’s borrowing costs, which in turn saves taxpayer dollars as Cambridge invests in critical infrastructure and core services.
