Continue building your machine-sewing skills AND receive support as you work on your own sewing projects with our Library sewing community. Participants must register but may drop-in any time during the program.
This program is designed for patrons who know the basics of how to use our Janome sewing machines.
CNA Training Program for Fluent English Speakers
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program track is for Cambridge residents who are fluent English speakers. The program provides hands-on clinical experience to people interested in careers in healthcare.
Neighborhood Engagement Program
Originally established in 1997 as the Neighborhood Sergeant Program, the Cambridge Police Neighborhood Engagement Program seeks to directly connect community members with the police supervisors who are the liaisons to their neighborhood.
Parent/Child (Ages 7-9) Book Group (Main)
Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-9 and a parent or caregiver.
This month's book is The Homework Machine by Dan Gutman. Four very different students are stuck sitting together at the “D” table, but form an unlikely alliance when one of them creates a machine that can do their homework for them at the press of a button. Soon, though, tensions form and even when they try to put it behind them the machine takes on a life of its own.
Copies of this month's book are available at the Children's Desk.
Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family.

Cambridge Awarded Three AAA Ratings for 25th Consecutive Year
The City of Cambridge has retained its distinction of being one of approximately 24 cities in the United States to earn AAA ratings from each of the nation's three major credit rating agencies. For 25 consecutive years, the City has received these noteworthy ratings annually from Moody's Investors Service, S&P Global Ratings, and Fitch Ratings.
