Get to know Melissa Young, Enterprise Application Specialist with the City of Cambridge Information Technology Department! In his role, Young works on major citywide software rollouts, including but not limited to OpenGov, the software used for permitting, licensing, and other forms. The Outstanding Employee Awards program recognizes City employees nominated for superior performance, positive attitude, hard work, and dedication to public service. The Brian Murphy Award for Leadership in the Workplace and Public Service is a distinguished recognition given to leaders who display extraordinary qualities in the workplace and dedication to community service. Recipients were honored at a special ceremony on May 17.

On January 23, 2024, after completing necessary repairs, the Cambridge Water Department has switched from MWRA water back to Cambridge Water.
