The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our October meeting, we will discuss H is for Hope by Elizabeth Kolbert. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. Registration is required. Please contact alengel@cambridgema.gov with questions.

Free at-home COVID-19 tests are available through a few government sources and local pharmacies for eligible customers.

We're excited to host our first community meeting for the Mass Ave Planning Study (MAPS) on Thursday, February 29 from 6 PM - 7:30 PM. The meeting will provide an introduction to the project; an opportunity for the community to learn more about the process; and a chance to talk with the planning team about Mass Ave! This meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Heatwaves & Hard Truths Book: The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and death on a scorched planet by Jeff Goodell Meetings will be held on the fourthThursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours. The CPA Committee will meet to review anticipated revenues for FY27 and discuss the 2026 meeting schedule and processes.

Join us for a collaborative experience where families build and battle robots together. This event is recommended for children ages 7 and up and their families. This program can accommodate 16 families. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly. Unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

The Moses Youth Center will close from January 2026 through August 2027 for a building upgrade project. During this time, Moses Youth Center's Teen Night Program will relocate to Frisoli Youth Center (61 Willow St.) and the Moses Teen Day Program will relocate to the CRLS Extension Program (359 Broadway).
