Description
This layer contains georectified aerial photo images of the City of Cambridge taken on May 5, 1969. This is not an orthophoto, but a mosaic of photos with overlap. The flight lines run north to south. Photo scale is 1” = 600’.
Purpose
The aerial photos were flown for the City of Cambridge. Aerial photos were taken in 1969 by Lockwood, Kessler, & Bartlett Engineers of Syosset, NY. Photos were stored at the Cambridge Historical Commission. Several photos were missing from the original set, and the missing photos were purchased in 2013 from the company who did the flight and was still in operation. In 2013, they were scanned by GIS at high resolution, color balanced, and put into a seamless mosaic by Infotech Enterprises America.
