Commission for Persons with Disabilities

The Cambridge Commission for Persons with Disabilities works to reduce and eliminate the barriers that people with disabilities experience in our community.

CCPD staff answers questions, provides information & referrals, and gives technical assistance to individuals and families, public agencies, and private organizations.  We promote equal opportunity and strive to eliminate discrimination against individuals with all types of disabilities. The Commission runs the City's temporary disability parking permit program, co-administers the Cambridge taxi discount program, publishes a bi-monthly newsletter (check out the current issue!), provides disability awareness training to City departments and private entities, and runs Disability Reframed: A Community Film Series with the City of Boston Mayor's Commission for Persons with Disabilities.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!
Please join us for an exciting panel presentation and celebration, Expect. Employ. Empower. Assistive Technology in the Workplace, on Wednesday, October 29.
