Submit your photos and artwork for the 2025 Resident Parking Permit!

Your art or photo could be featured on thousands of vehicles throughout Cambridge!

Submit an original photograph or piece of artwork by Wednesday, July 31, 2024 and it could be featured on Cambridge's 2025 Resident Parking Permits.

Photographers and artists of all levels are invited to submit their digital photos using this form. Enter by Wednesday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m. to be considered.

Each year, the City of Cambridge accepts images depicting city buildings, landmarks, and the beauty of Cambridge and features the winning photo or artwork on the Resident Parking Permit and in the resident parking brochure.

Other submissions may be featured, with credit, on the city website, and in other materials.

Past permits have featured: The Cambridge Latin school arch by Regina Mitarachi (2024), The pond at Cambridge Crossing by Lauren Kershberg (2023), Cambridge City Hall by Kyle Klein (2022); the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School sign by Mark Hornbuckle (2021); and Little Fresh Pond by Judy Silvan (2020).


Photo Guidelines:

  • We will only consider photos that are taken in Cambridge.
  • We prefer photos that do not include people -- please, no portraits or selfies.
  • We prefer photos that show buildings/property owned or maintained by the City of Cambridge.
  • For best chances of being chosen, upload a high-resolution image.

Artwork Guidelines:

  • We will consider original artwork depicting places or scenes in Cambridge.
  • Artwork must be your original work.
  • For best chances of being chosen, upload a high-resolution scan of your artwork.

Selection Information:

  • The City will only select one photo or piece of artwork.
  • By submitting your photo or art, you give the City of Cambridge the right to use the image for any purpose.
  • If you provide an email address, we will send you a confirmation email on receipt. Otherwise, we will only contact you if we select your photo for the 2025 Resident Parking Permit.

About Resident Parking Permits

Parking permits are required in all areas designated “Parking by Permit Only.” Residents may apply for Resident Parking Permits for passenger vehicles and motorcycles, and/or Visitor Parking Permits for people visiting their homes. Permits must be renewed every year by March 31. Visit cambridgema.gov/parking-permits to learn more.
