Map of Massachusetts and Water Drought Statuses

The Cambridge Water Department wants to make the Cambridge community aware of the latest water drought status.

The State has announced that Cambridge and the Northeast Region of the Commonwealth has been downgraded from a Level 1 – Mild Drought to Level 0 - Normal Conditions.

Recent rain has improved streamflow and reduced fire risk across Cambridge and the state. Most regions around the state received about 4-6 inches of rain so far this month.

Water use restrictions are no longer required, but conservation is always strongly encouraged.
