Parade
The 2025 Cambridge Arts River Festival will feature a Parade at 11:30 a.m. including the Mermaid Promenade and a Celebration of 250 Years of Milestones, Innovations and Firsts.
The Parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park at JFK Street and Memorial Drive, proceeds east along Memorial Drive, traveling through the River Festival, to end at Corporal Burns Park at Memorial Drive and Flagg Street.
Be Part Of Mermaid Promenade At Cambridge Arts River Festival
Join us in the Mermaid Promenade that kicks off this year's Cambridge Arts River Festival on the banks of the Charles River along Memorial Drive between JFK Street and Western Avenue on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
The Mermaid Promenade is part of a parade--including marching band and giant puppets--that begins at 11:30 a.m. at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park at JFK Street and Memorial Drive, proceeds east along Memorial Drive, traveling through the River Festival, to end at Corporal Burns Park at Memorial Drive and Flagg Street.
All are welcome to join in the parade. The promenade will be a participatory community spectacle featuring mermaids, mermen, water creatures, the Haitian band Rara Bel Poze, and giant puppets by The Puppeteers Cooperative.
To be in the Mermaid Promenade, come in costume and/or with props to John F. Kennedy Memorial Park at JFK Street and Memorial Drive by 11:10 a.m.
