Launched in 2011, Hubway is a public bike share system owned by the municipalities of Cambridge, Boston, Brookline, and Somerville. With 155 stations in the Boston metro area, and 38 stations in Cambridge, Hubway is an easy and convenient way to get around, whether to meetings, classes, cultural events, or shopping trips.

Discussions about the permanent location of the Dana Park Hubway station have been taking place in the community through meetings, an open house, a parking survey, direct communications, and an on-line survey (see: http://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/Transportation/gettingaroundcambridge/bikeshare/danaparkhubwaystation). Support for a Hubway station at Dana Park was significant, with desire for the station to be situated in a more permanent location so that it could remain in operation year-round, as are all the other stations in Cambridge.

At this open house, we will show three alternative locations for a curb extension as a permanent location for the Dana Park Hubway station. We want to hear your feedback!

If you can’t make the meeting, information and an online feedback opportunity will be available at http://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/Transportation/gettingaroundcambridge/bikeshare/danaparkhubwaystation from March 15, 2016 through March 29, 2016.

P.S. The Dana Park Station will be put back this month in its temporary location on Lawrence Street until a permanent location is determined.
