Learn to create delicate messages on tulle alongside local artist and curator Lisa Purdy! Bring a phrase or a drawing to life with tulle embroidery, which can float on its own or over other works, for layers of meaning. Leave with your favorite quote or sketch on a beautiful piece of fabric or start a project and come away with the skills to complete it. The workshop will provide a primer on materials, transferring designs onto tulle, and basic embroidery stitches and how they are different on tulle.

MATERIALS LIST:

- Tulle fabric: Enough for 2 12"x12" squares

- 8" embroidery hoop

- Embroidery needle

- 3 skeins of embroidery floss in different colors

- Pair of scissors (small snips work great)
